Nine years ago, when we first started photographing weddings, something felt off. Many moments were carefully arranged — shaped for the camera, built to be seen. Timelines paused, movements adjusted, everything gently guided toward the image. But what stayed with us weren’t those images. It was everything that happened in between — the quiet pauses before a ceremony, a glance that wasn’t meant to be noticed, the laughter that came and went too quickly. Those moments were never planned, and they were often the ones that mattered most. Over time, we found ourselves paying less attention to what was being directed, and more to what was unfolding naturally. So we chose to follow that instead — to step back, to observe, and to document the day as it was experienced, not just how it appeared.
